I wasn’t going to post anything today but things got off to a good start when Fran appeared with a hearty brunch π

The food, baked not fried π, warmed me up on a frosty day. I decided to take my camera outside and try pointing it at random items. First up were these little pillars of ice. Should run a competition to see if anyone can guess what they’d formed on π§

All the plants have long since stopped flowering but they can still be beautiful…..

then this little chap appeared on the patio dancing and skipping, oblivious to me pointing my camera at it through the window π

the little stoat was moving too fast for the autofocus on my Nikon but it sat still long enough to get a couple of clear shots……..

It’s been living above our conservatory for a long time but I rarely have camera in hand to catch the little blighter. It keeps the voles and mice down and ignores our hens (so far) so I’ve left it to it’s own devices. It dances on the patio furniture and loves snow!!
After the stoat show I took the camera down to the little field where we keep our hens. The views were misty with a frosty background. I decided to get the camera out again.

To end the afternoon, despite being bright and sunny, it started snowing!!!

and…to the end the day we went for a walk from the house via a route I’d never been before and was rewarded with this view from the top of the hill….

Just for these little things of beauty, I’m so glad we chose to live here in beautiful Scotland π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ
Hope tomorrow’s just as good!!
