An Ode tae Ma Kettle

When we first met
It was love at first sight
Sitting on the shelf
All shiny and bright

Ah got ye hame
Soon the coffee was oot
Followed by hot water
Fae your shiny spoot

But it wisnae long
Before ah discovered yer meek
Boilin the water
Took nearly a week

Bit ah put up wi ye
Through thick and thin
But noo yiv stopped workin
Yer gan in the bin
