I don’t normally write anything serious (or good 😂😂😂) on this blog but Covid 19 has changed the world. What annoys me is some politicians and some of the media either taking nonsense, behaving erratically, or simply confusing people by not telling the truth.

We’ve had a SNP MP (the party I normally vote for) travel by train to Westminster (Margaret Ferrier) while she was waiting for a Covid test result. On a scale of nought to ten that’s a ten, if a score of nought means ‘brightest decision you could make ever’ and ten means ‘my brain fell out of my head so I filled it with straw’.

When she was told the test result was positive (now remember what that means – she has been confirmed as having the most contagious people killing virus the world has seen since Ebola!) she scored double points by getting back on a bloody train and travelled all the way from London to Glasgow, possibly infecting everyone she came into contact with. This morning I’ve read she’s not planning on resigning because the Covid virus did something to her brain – you haven’t got one you stupid woman. Just resign and let’s move on.

She’s not the only one who’s raised my eyebrows during Covid. No. there’s a long list of crumblebunnies. Let’s start with Boris Johnson’s father. For those not familiar with Britains politicians (we used to be called Great Britain but we dropped the ‘Great’ bit when we voted Boris in and decided to leave Europe 😀). I know this old news but we shouldn’t forget these things – never ever ever fingers crossed for ever. Stanley Johnson, despite no air bridge existing between the UK and Greece, decided to go there. Being as devious as his son, he bent the rules so far he warped time and space, by flying to a country which did have an allowed air bridge, Bulgaria, then flew to Greece (the banned bit) as Bulgaria was still allowing people to fly to Greece. In Stanley’s head this made it ok. Stanley’s head, like Margaret Ferrier’s is full of straw. As people around the UK were told they would have to cancel their holidays, Stanley thought it ok to deviously visit Greece. Stanley, you scored a straw stuffing TEN. Last week he scored another ten by not wearing a mask in his local shop. Doh!!

Another clown was Dominic Cummings. As long ago as March 2020, despite Lockdown being in place, he drove all the way up the length of England to his parents house in the North East. He was then spotted driving to Barnard Castle. When the press cottoned on, they went after him. Now, I don’t know the guy, but I don’t think I would like him. Like Jacob Rees-Mogg, Priti Patel and Michael Gove, he has that look, that smugness, that unfriendly nature, where you just wish you could be stuck in a lift with them for five minutes whilst holding a large wet fish. When he appeared in Number 10’s back garden (how appropriate 😂) I could have let him off saying he did it for his family, but, ‘I drove to Barnard Castle to test my eyesight’ is such a fib. It’s like the day I arrived back at our house with 2 cones. One had ice cream on it and the other was just the cone.

‘What happened?’ asked my Mum

‘Janice’s ice cream fell off’ I replied

‘How do you know that it was your sisters ice cream that fell?’

‘Well, I’d licked the other one’

Yes, Dominic, you lied with the skills of a 5 year old child.

Others like Dr Catherine Calderwood, Scotlands Chief Medical Officer, went to a holiday home and paid the price by being forced to resign. Professor Neil Ferguson, the scientist who helped usher in lockdown, allegedly broke the rules to visit his ‘lover’ 😳 The list goes on and on.

Boris himself has blundered from one saga to the next. From PPE issues, quoting a world class track and trace system would be place 6 months ago, to not having a plan to control Covid once we re-opened the economy.

Lastly we have the maddest President since Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-Un. Yes, Donald Trump. This man is in charge of the one of the largest countries in the world. From advocating treating covid by injecting disinfectant or irradiating your body with UV-C he’s just meandered a crazy path through the Covid 19 journey. Only this week he mocked Joe Biden for wearing a mask, and, after he allegedly caught Covid himself resulting in him ending up in hospital, he then flew in a massive helicopter landing on the front lawn of the White House, strode inside only to appear on the balcony, ripping off his mask, to presumably show, unlike two hundred thousand ‘fellow’ Americans, he’d beaten the virus.

In July when protesters were out in cities across America he said this…..

“And then they have cans of soup. And they throw the cans of soup. That’s better than a brick because you can’t throw a brick. It’s too heavy,” said Trump. “But a can of soup, you can really put some power into that, right? And then when they get caught, they say, ‘No, this is soup for my family.’ They’re so innocent. This is soup for my family. And you have people coming over with bags of soup — big bags of soup. And they lay it on the ground, and the anarchists take it and they start throwing it at our cops, at our police,” Trump continued. “And if it hits you, that’s worse than a brick because that’s got force…And then the media says, ‘This is just soup. These people are very, very innocent. They’re innocent people. These are just protesters. Isn’t it wonderful to allow protesting?’ No.”

One thing I’ve loved in Lockdown has been Michael Spicer’s you tube videos. This is clever.

So, what is my point? We are lied to. Even senior figures will use deceit to avoid what the rest of us are being asked to do. Please don’t believe everything you’re told but do try to not let it al bog you down. I watched daytime tv this morning with Phillip Schofield and Holly Woolybooby. They had a woman on who was saying how Covid was affecting mental health, that the WHO were not advising lockdowns as a solution and maybe all the vulnerable people should be stopped from going out while the rest just get covid reverting to herd immunity. The issue she forgets is NHS staff would get ill, have to isolate, maybe worse. There would be fewer staff as a result to do normal things and they would still give Covid to vulnerable patients. The WHO actually say the following today Oct 12th 2020 ……

Stay safe everyone, stick to the rules and look after your loved ones. We will come out the other side ✅
